How do I reserve my place? Register/Info
Reserving a place for your self is quick and easy! Just click on Register/Info on the Homepage next to the event you wish to attend. No paper tickets are required. You will be sent a confirmation from us, letting you know who your Hosts will be and your name will be noted on our Guest List.

What is British Trivia?
On our Home page you may notice a ticker, just above the event schedule. This is our Britism ticker for discounts , English trivia and more! Britism’s are all things British. From expressions to terminology to lovely British trivia, it’s all here! Click on the re-fresh button to find more. Who knows? You might just win 20%, 50% or even 100% off your next ticket. What happens if the event is sold out?
We wish we could accommodate everyone! Unfortunately, the fun goes quick! Please be sure to add your info on our “Wait List” by simply emailing tina@SpeedNYdating.com Also, it is a good idea to keep checking back on our website as sometimes reservations become available at the last minute. We are continually updating our event calendar.

What time should I show up for the Event?
We ask that the lads stay away until 15 minutes prior to the published start time. Ladies, you may arrive a half hour prior to the published start time, to enjoy a complimentary professional makeover. Please select the makeover option when reserving your ticket, in order to reserve the makeup artist for you.

What’s this about a free Makeover for the ladies? Hosts/Make-Up Artist
Yes. Can you believe it? Why not look your best to meet that special someone? This was very popular with the gals in London and so we are offering the same great service here! Arrive half an hour prior to the time of the Event start time and receive a free makeover from a professional makeup artist! A SpeedNY signature service, with our compliments.

Is the Make-up artist a licensed professional?
Of Course! Please meet our talented artists under the Hosts section of our site. Just click the Meet Your Hosts link above on the left side of the main menu.

What is a SpeedNY ‘Date Mate’?
A ‘Date-Mate’ means you have a match! You checked each other on your scorecards and your email address will be exchanged with this person 24 hours after the event.

How long will I chat with my Prospective ‘Date-Mate’?
Chat up your prospective 'Date-Mates' 7-8 minutes at a time. Sometimes, for our larger events, this may be shortened by 1 or 2 minutes to accommodate all of the mini-dates in a timely fashion.

So Little time; So much to say.
Don’t worry. In today’s world we tend to know in a matter of minutes if we ‘click’ with someone. You can also chat further with your prospective ‘Date-Mate’ at intermission or mingle after the event. Just have fun and go with it!

How will I know I have any SpeedNY ‘Date Mates’ and how do I contact my SpeedNY ‘date-mate’?
You will be notified via email of your ‘Date-Mate’s’ first name and email within 24hours of the event ending. Your ‘Date-Mate’ will also receive your name and email.

90% of Speed Daters find a match at their first event. In the event that cupid’s arrow misfired the first time, we look forward to finding you a match at our next event.

What is a SpeedNY Ice Breaker?
Cat got your tongue? Can't think what to say? No problem! Our Hosts will shower your table with endless opportunities to chat up a storm. Simply pick up one of the Ice Breaker cards placed strategically at your table and ask the question! If you don't feel like it, don't do it. It's up to you... but go on, I dare you!

Is Food included with my SpeedNY Dating ticket price?
No chips and salsa here! When we say appetizers we mean it. Our guests delight in culinary treats from some of the very best NY has to offer. From lovely truffle fries, to Kobe beef sliders, to assortments of dreamy canapés. Indulge yourself and your senses.

How long does a SpeedNY Dating event last?
The length of an event is based on the number of daters in attendance. Generally, our events last about 2 hours including intermission.

What Happens when the Event is over?
That‘s up to you! Most Daters say this is when the fun really starts! Feel free to stay and mingle for as long as you want.

I’m shy - Can I come with my Friends?
Bring your friends, have some fun! Our hosts will gladly accommodate seating for all ticketed members of your party. If you would like to be seated together please let us know.

How Many People Will I Meet?
SpeedNY Dating events vary in size, anywhere from 20-60 singles show up for a good time. This means that you can meet upwards of 10-30 people in one night!

Can I pay without doing it through the Internet? Register/Info

What Should I Wear?
Well the British always like to dress it up. However, dress how you feel. No riff-raff please.

I Am Older or Younger than your age ranges – may I still attend?
Of course you may. Our age ranges are merely suggestions. We offer many age range categories. Please feel free to select the age range most comfortable for you. If you don’t see a range suitable for you please check back or let us know.

Will I be photographed or filmed?
You will absolutely not be photographed or filmed without your prior consent. While we and our daters are often called upon for special filmed events, they are scheduled as private events and are by invitation only.

What if I don't have the ability to act like a lady or gentleman?
Oh dear - how unfortunate. We do have a zero tolerance for any rudeness - of any sort. We attract such great daters but find - as in life - not every dater is ideal. Our daters are also our product and we go to great lengths to ensure everyone meets lovely daters. We want the right daters not just any daters. Behavior short of lovely will result in a dater being banned from the company. This may upset some but we feel our daters as a whole appreciate the extra effort and we hope you do too.
